This is a news blog designed for members and friends of Oasis California, the LGBT Ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of California. Most of the posts here are news releases or links to media reports.
This blog is edited by the Rev. Thomas C. Jackson, the President of Oasis California and a priest of the Episcopal Diocese of California. He resides in the San Francisco Bay Area having survived the difficult process of being transplanted from New England top California several years ago. He still misses snow. Sometimes.
In 2009, he attended the General Convention of the Episcopal Church as a reporter for the Pacific Church News. He was a pilgrim to Canterbury and covered the Lambeth Conference for the Pacific Church News during the summer of 2008. The title of this blog comes from his time as a pilgrim in Canterbury during the Lambeth Conference.
